Heater saga PT 2 - no go on the tstat

So, the thermostat did not fix it. I'm assuming the heater valve is the problem. the line to it is hot - the return line is not. If i drill it out, will it affect the AC cooling? How hard is the part to replace? Do i access it by removing the panel under the dash on the driver's side?

It is under the dash on the driver's side. AFAIK you can NOT drill out the heater valve. If you really have to, take it out and put something else in its place to always let coolant through. I have an extra heater valve if you need one. It is still in the car so I would have to get it out but if you want it, PM me.

What thing next to the brake booster? Would it kill my AC to bypass all of it?

Next to the brake booster is where the heater hoses go into the firewall. If you just connect the send/return lines there, you ulimately bypass the heater valves... but you bypass the heater core as well. Which doesnt matter because your valve doesnt work so you never have heat. The only time when bypassing it there is "ok" is when you heater core leaks and you dont wanna get a new one... and you dont need heat.
