So i snapped a rocker. How do i swap it out?

I have a spare head and im just gonna get the spare head rebuilt and swap them out with all the gaskets etc etc. My question is what exactly is involved in swapping out a snapped rocker.

    which cylinder is it on?

You may or may not have to pull the head.

Pull the head off, pull off the cam gear, pop out the rocker shaft seals at the ends of the head. Pull off all the rocker arm retaining clips. Then put a 3/8" extension (long one) at the end of a rocker shaft and wack the end of it. Eventually the rocker shaft will be hit out of the head.

piston number 3. Im thinking swapping a head with metric blues would be better and easyer.

I doubt you'll have enough room to get a #3 rocker out. You'll most likely have to pull the head.

M20 engine, any rocker any cylinder they can be taken off while head is in, but it's almost easier to take the head off, becaus there is big chance to ruin the rocker shafts.
