OK, I've got a question for the Bimmerphile's on here.

I've got an '87 325iS. Today I noticed that the door jamb says "325i/A"

does this mean that it was originally an Automatic car that someone converted?

      OK, gotcha, that link helps.

So it's just to help explain the table, my car wasn't converted.

exactly it's just saying a 325i manual / automatic weights in the table.
