How to remove the rear glass

I am trying to find the best way to remove the rear glass out of an E30? Any hints would be appreciated!

Rear side glass or rear window with defogger grid?

The rear window removes by pulling out the lock strip, disconnecting the defogger wires (easy to forget!) and pushing out.

The lock strip slides into the joint pieces, so don't try to pry between the joint and the lock strip. Start by prying under the lock strip about 2" from a joint.
If the window doesn't come out easily, push the rubber back from the glass and apply a little lube. Dilute hand dishwashing soap works, although it will strip the wax off of your paint. Rubber conditioner is sloppier but you get two things done at once.

Reinstallation is done with the rubber gasket in the channel, putting the glass in bottom first, then lifting the rubber lip over the glass edge. It's much easier to install the lock strip with a tool, but you can make do with a plastic picnic knife if you have plenty of patience.
