    Looking to replace stock suspension

I am looking to replace the stock suspension on my 86 325 es, and dont have a ton of cash, as I am a poor ass college student, but I found 4 ( 2 front 364021 SHOCKS , 2 Rear KG4539 shocks);KYB GR-2 - GAS-a-just shocks and 4 Vogtland (9101high performance German made Lowering springs with a 1.6 inch drop for a good price (270.00).

I just wanted to know if anyone has these on there car, or if anyone has any opinions about the shocks and or springs. I know they are not going to be anything like bilsteins, H&R, etc., but I dont really have the cash for that. I am looking for something that will improve handling enough to have a little fun until I can afford an upgrade down the road.

For a tight budget, that set up will be fine for a while. Like you said, it woun't be as nice as a billy/H&R type set-up, but the shocks and springs you want will be a huge upgrade over the stock suspension.

You can talk to Dave Varco at Aardvark Racing. He sells GOOD used setups from guys that go from HD's or Sports over to coilover setups, etc. I've had a set of his used HD's in my 2002 for about 2 years and when they came they looked brand new except for the faded stickers (because of the ATF in the strut housings)

Looks like he has a set of rear HD's for $50 and he probably hasn't gotten around to updating his site in a little bit.

Dave's a really good guy and will back you up on the customer service end more than anyone else I've come across. Maybe it's a way to get into a good set of Billy's for around $100(front & rear).

I would put KYB's in someone else's car, but not my own.. no way would I put white-trash performance parts in my baby. it would handle like a lasagna.. where did I hear that line from? hm..

You can get H&Rs for cheaper than $270 on ebay, including shipping.
