    3.73 dif. in an ETA

i have a 87 325i auto parts car i think its a 3.73 (read it in the owners manual) not sure of lsd tho, and ive been wondering if it would be a good idea to put it in my eta (when i get it back from the head rebuild)

i did search, but id like to see what u guys have to say about it.

    Thanks

There should be a tag on the back of the diff. S3.73=LSD 3.73= open rear.

i got a set in my e and i love them. But it runs around 3000rpms at 65mph on the high-way.

I ran 4.10 gears in my eta while awaiting the headswap. It wasn't/isn't my daily though. I loved it, although I'd have run 3.73's if it was a daily.

I am running a 3.73 lsd in my eta right now. I love it. The highway will kinda suck, but I will be ok. Say good by to your first gear. Red line comes up "what, only at 20 MPH" lol.

I don't care what people say, the 3.25 diff is perfect for an Eta.

I completely agree. Anything more is a waste of first gear.

-I had a 4.10 lsd in a '88 super-eta (5400 rpm redline). Good times with the 115 mph top speed.

I know my car is a SuperEta - but I did around 2500 miles of highway driving with a 3.73 in my SuperEta (5500 redline) and yea...the revs were high, and yea, I topped out at 110, and yea, on the highway when I was moving 100, I was at like 4000...but it seriously was totally worth it!

                            Now I have a 3.73 in my stroker...I should find a 4.10 :D

thanks for info. my car wont be ready for a while tho, the mechanic that was supposed to rebuild my head(snaped t-belt) had the car for a month and just loosened some bolts. and now i dont know if i should rebuild the head, or swap in a b25 motor out of an 87 late wiring plugs.
