stumble when i first take off

When I first pull out of my parking spot for the day sometimes my car will fall on its face for a few seconds then recover and it will never have the problem for the entire rest of the day.

usually it only happens if the car sits for oh say at least 24-30hours.

    any idea's?

I am sort of having the same problem. But it happens to my car more frequently. Help here would be awesome!

I as well am having similar problems. I'm also noticing that my idle is just a hair over the 500 mark rather than at 750 where it should be. If I hit the gas like I want to from a stop the motor stumbles and then really revvs up - same thing?

So I think it's vacuum related as well as ignition, idle and general state of tune. I ran a quart of sea foam through the intake FPR hose, as well as one in the gas tank, and this weekend I'll check/change the plugs, check the cap & rotor and reset the idle & TPS. I'm also going to need to replace the few vacuum hoses on the intake - gotta keep everything nice and tight because any air leaks in the intake can mess things up royally as we don't have a MAP sensor (I believe)...

Acording to Haynes Repair manual, these can cause stumbling:

        1) Spark plugs fouled
        2) Fuel ingection system malfunctioning
        3) Fuel filter is clogged
        4) Incorrect ignition timing
        5) Intake manifold air leak

I have the exact same problem. After sitting overnight and on it's first run of the day, I'll pull out and the car basically dies, and then comes back to life. Kind of embarassing with passengers in the car. Picture slamming your face into the dash and then getting major whiplash kind of effect.
