Plastic Bumper Conversion on a Convertible

    Hey,
I'm wondering whats up with putting plastic bumpers on a convertible... I've heard that its just a direct swap, and I wont have to modify the rear bumper, but I'd like to make sure... Also, I'd like to put an 89+ is front spoiler on, I would assume it will fit, but once again, I'd just like to make sure.

If anybody has any of these parts available, holla

Most of it is a direct swap.

You will need to make custom brackets for the rear bumpers sides, and you may need to notch the shock hole into the frame rail slightly so the bumper can be mounted higher up.

The front is a direct swap, but you will need to cut off both tow hooks to fit the new valance.

      Convertible.

The plastic bumpers are a direct swap regardless of the year?

I have a 87 Cabrio and I was planning on getting one of the AV3 E36 kits but if I can put some plastic bumpers on it I might just keep it simple.

It is NOT a direct swap, read my post above as it outlines the mods needed.

Either way, yes.. all cabrios have the lower rear arches, it doesnt matter which tailights you have.

          My bad

*cough* meant the Front bumpers. My bad. I'm happy though no need for kit madness. I'm heading to the dismantler this week.

What is a fair price for a set of plastic bumpers (for my 88 cabrio)? Once they are on, can I then fit an MtechII kit on without further modificaition?
