Help! OBC CODE decided to set itself

A week ago disconnected the battery while working on the car. Reconnected tonight, and now "CODE" is flashing on the OBC. I didn't set a code, haven't done so for at least a year. And the car won't start, obviously.

WTF do I do now? Is there a reset procedure to get this thing going again, do I need to swap OBCs, will the car run if I unplug the OBC? Etc.

Well, it seems that disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting it got the OBC out of its shenanigans. Didn't have to wait 15 mins with key in position 1 either, as in the E36 cars.

I hate it when my car scares me like that. . .
