    S50B32 in 318is??speedo issue?

    Hi every one new in the forum. heard of the forum over at M3forum.com just had quick question. i have 318is with a help of a friends we put S50B32 motor in it that i race in our small track. im not a professional mechanic or my friend. the E30 is striped out there is no OEM wiering left from the car. the only wiering i have is the actual wiering harness of the engine that conects to the DME. i think my car was runing fine. then i had race 2 months ago when there was new car in the track we dont have alot of fast cars here ,when there is no issue or E30 with S38 M5 engines my car is the fastest at our track. a 2002 BMW with S14 M3 motor 2.5 was head to head with me the hole race i became second. only mods i have is Supersprint Headers .im useing 5speed gearbox with 4.10 gears.

    A gentelman came up to me & told me i have the same swap done in US i think your car is not runing the way it should. he told me about the O2 sensors that i was missing the idel is trouble on the car. so we allways try to adjust the throttle possition sensor to get the car at high rpm that the car doesn't die. im geting 2 O2 sensors the primary ones. im not going to use the secondary ones since im runing stight pipe. hopefully the car will ideal better.

    The issue is that he told me since there is no factory cluster.the E30 Speedo sensor(signal) is anolog and my DME needs a Digital input if we dont use this we are not geting a full power of the car. im not sure how my friend did the speedo sensor.

    im in Toronto right now im not going back anytime soon maybe after the summer around Oct. can some one tell me what i need to tell my Friend about the sensor.

    does any one know a place that could get rid off the sensor with remapping the DME. cause i just purchest a pair of Schrick cams i will need a Software for them too. i would like to raise the rev limiter and get rid of the EWS switch .cause everytime we want to race i have to tape them around the DME , i had an issue with pumps & sharp turns ,car died then i found out its the EWS switch wiers.

    any info will be highly apreshiated.

    i know i post the longest thread, but i had to tell every detail.

      thank you, i got the unit from Kempower, Jan very nice guy to deal with.waiting on that, also waiting for guy name Alex that has software to call me that i could send him my DME to get flash that would work with my cams and gets rid off the AFM also raise redline to 8000rpm. i will post how everything is going. thanks again.
