Whats up guys.... I am away from my e30 for a while..... at least until Sunday. Right now I am visiting the folks... big family gathering, etc.
While I'm here, my mother decided to present me with a gift to go with my Corbeau Forza, a 4pt seatbelt. However this is completely custom, since she took it off a Learjet from the maintenance hangar where she works.
So here's the deal, I'm sure that the waist part of the belt will go in without any worries. The trick is the 2pt belt that goes over the shoulder. This one is attached to a sliding rail which gives the belt some slack, however not much. I am trying to come up with a way of installing it but for now all I can do is imagine because there are no e30s that I could take a look to see where I could install the belt.
I could probably drill 4 holes under the backseat and install it that way, however I'd like to install it without drilling if possible. I have a large plate with pre-drilled holes for that seat belt. The plan for that is to find any drilled holes that are already in the chassis ( under the backseat ) and just screw the plate into the chassis and the belt rail into the plate.
Anyways here are some pics and maybe we can work something out. I'll answer any questions and we'll go from there:
