    cooling problem

I havnt been on in a bit, just moved to houston...sux, now im having a cooling issue, and dont know anyone down here..
My lower radiator hose was rubbing on a belt, so i replaced it and now that i've replaced the coolant, it starts getting really hot , really fast..one thing is, the air purge screw (or whatever its called) is stripped, so i cant let it purge the air from the system..I thoguht that the air would work its way out, like on any other car i have had...i dunno...any ideas...
thermostat went out when i changed the coolant maybe ?? idunno, im stuck..
    thanks guys

You really need to get that screw replaced or replace the housing. Neither are very expensive.

In the meantime you can try parking on a hill with the engine facing upwards or jack it up. Then run the car and with the coolant tank cap off and rev the engine when it gets warm to see if it helps work some air out of the system.

G what part of Houston you livin in? Might have a housing at home, I'll cehck when I get there. Sounds to me like your thermostat is stuck closed or your water pump may be dead.
