    M30 Engine in E30

How hard is it to install an M30 engine into an E30?

Are there any tech articles or write ups of how to do this?

What parts will i need and will i have to do any modifying to get it to fit?

I bring this up because maybe in a few months i will have the oppurtinuty to get my hands on an M30 engine and just might tinker with it and see about dropping it into the old Eta.

Any information relating to this will be of great help.

    It's pretty easy.

There were a couple on E30.de, but it's common sense. Don't need to read them......

    It bolts right in.

Fix your body damage before thinking about swapping engines.

I will have another car before i attempt this. :)

Its just something i have thought a bit about doing and now that an engine might pop up for sale in the later months i might just go ahead and proceed with it.
