    Need Help, new objective.

I was working on the e30 the other day and got to thinking, I really want basically new car, old body. I am not going to get another car until the end of college and my parents are supporting me with this car. So I was wondering, What would make the e30 basically like a new car in the fact that I want it to be as silent as possible inside, I want to make the exhaust as quiet as possible, and the suspension to be as comfortable as possible. What springs should I use? What sound deadening? What exhaust setup? I am planning an M50 swap in the summer so any exhaust suggestions are welcome.

If you lower a car, the ride will be stiffer.
Is that what you are looking for?

If you want to keep it close to stock ride/height, I recommend using H&R OE springs.

As far as sound deadening the E30 usually has a fair amount of it stock, however you could try a sound dampening matieral Ie: Dynamat

If you are swapping a larger engine in, your car will be louder!
Most likely your exhaust will be custom, many ways of creating a quiter exhaust.

    When I swapped My M50 in I used a E36 M3 rear section.
That was fairly quiet. Just do your research and you will figure out what works best for you!

silent as possible inside - Remove the whole inside, and dynamat it all... basicially soundproof everything from outside.

exhaust as quiet as possible - Get a deeper exhaust. nothing cheap, but after dynamat, you wouldnt hear it.

suspension comfortable as possible - Springs, lowering sprinds, strut bars. take your pick. but strut bars cant replace springs... maybe get new aftermarkets?

What sound deadening - Dynamat (car audio soundproofing...)
What exhaust setup - check different companies
M50 swap exhaust - Magnaflow? 40 series from flowmaster?
