    Ebay misinformation.........



    I emailed this guy the following

    "Just so you know, the e30 m3 front sway bar is 19mm, and standard e30 is 20mm. So adding e30 M3 bar is a downgrade."

    This was his response

    "I am sorry to let you know, but you are mistaken. I worked for a BMW dealer as a mechanic, and I can assure you that factory is smaller"

    it is an upgrade not because of size, but because of mounting location.... the m3 swaybar mounts on the strut casing, which is farther away from the pivot point, giving it a greater mechanical advantage.... the non m sway bar is mounted in the middle of the control arm..... still the guy is an idiot for saying it is a lot thicker, and it is a little harder to install than a standard sway bar.... minor fabrication is required

        You can mount any e30 sway bar from tabs on the strut housing as long as you have the tabs. Therefore it is a down grade however you look at it.

          it's an upgrade for the 318i with an 18.5mm bar but not much of one
