I had my GC's mounted last night. They are 6" all around, 300F/475R. I had Koni SA's for all around, but they were used and the rear ones aren't too good anymore. The front ones are in though. The front perch has about 1" left to go down, and it sits perfect. No tucking (I hate tucking) just a perfect line up with the fender. The rear on the other hand...I set the perch about 0.75" from the top (meaning there's like 1.5" left to go down!), and it's still slammed to all hell. It was already 11PM when we lowered the rear, so I'll just bring it back up this weekend when I mount the summers. I also put it GC rear mounts, and I have a Sparco bar.
Review: The car feels brand new. There is NO harshness at all, just a planted, incredibly secure feeling. The very first on-ramp I hit was an eye-opener. The confidence level the car provides is about 200% better. I feel like I'm actually in control of everything going on, and I can plant the car exactly where I want it. Body roll is negligible, though I am still on my winters, so I'm not exactly going to record breaking g-force. While charging through some twisties, the rear end bottomed out on a bump and threw the entire rear about 2' to the side. Yup, gotta lose those Boge rear shocks. It won't be nearly as bad when I raise the rear all the way up though (it'll hardly be lower than stock, I was almost tucking then). I'm going to get the trunk-adjustable Konis from GC though, just because. 8)
This is a shitload of money to drop on a 14 year old car, and I have no regrets. I suddenly don't give a flying fuck about my $2k system or the rust bubbles on my sunroof. All that matters is the next apex.
Pics this weekend when I get the height where I want it. Sorry for the tease.
