what to use to sculpt some drillable(and screw-able) tabs

    Hi

I need some kind of compound that would dry to a strong-plastic-like state. Has to stick well to plastic and be sculptable when fresh (before it dries that is).
Basically i am looking to make some tabs on a plastic part to accept screws (so has to be drillable and not brittle, so it won't split when screw is going in)

    Thanks
    Alex

Use poliester resin (the resin from fiberglass) do not use epoxy resin, it is wierd when sticking to plastic (with some plastics sticks and on others doesn't).

thanks, wouldn't it be too brittle for drilling/screws when dried up?

Cant you just use some small metal tabs, predrilled then bond them to whatever it is?

What are you trying to attach the tabs to? As eko said, metal tabs might be easier, and you could always screw the tabs to what ever you want to attach them to. That is, depending on what it is.
