This is for my 1985 325e

I got myself a complete 325i engine, except it is missing about 3/4 of the wiring harness. But I have the computer and injectors and whatnot.

Where should I go from here... I see boost in my future. Keep that in mind.

Can I just slap the I head onto my eta block? Should I just swap entire m20b25 engine into the car... Will it work with the eta's wiring harness?

Is there some other hybrid that i dont know about that i can make between these two engines? This is kind of a budget build, and the car is my daily driver.

Open to all ideas.

i am gonna run MS this fall after I turbo it. But untill then... What do you suggest for NA applications?

I would find an I harness and swap the entire engine into the car and run it until you turbo. Then pull it, stroke it, break it in and turbo it!

You can't juts put the i head on an e motor. There are oil journals that need to be drilled to make it work. Hence why I said to just swap the whole motor in. Then you will have an i engine instead of a slightly faster e.

There are several threads on doing the swap. Just search and you will find.

Keep your options open. If you MS and you re-wire yourself you can re-sell the harness. Get a good (know good) harness now and save your pennies for if/when you do a turbo/swap...

Well I bought it from a guy doing an S50 swap, and he needed to convert it to ODBI and the wiring harness got butchered in the process..

I will get another harness, I just was not sure if I could use the Eta one or not. Any recommendations on where to buy?
