    Cigarette Lighter No Work-O

My cigarette lighter does not work. When I adapt a radar detector to it, it does not power up. What can be the cause of this problem? If its a fuse what number would that be, i tried looking it up but could not find it.
    Thanks for any help

Hardwire your radar detector. Those cords are gay.

Mine didn't work, turns out it was simply unplugged underneath. Worth checking anyhow.

Get one of those $3 fuse testers for future use but I would go with Franz that it might have come unplugged.

About Jordans comment, there are a LOT of reasons to hardwire it. One would be that the cigarette lighter is powered on all the time. If you left the detector on and parke the car for a few days it would be pulling power off the battery. IF you hardwire it to the ignition then it can only be on when the car is running.
