    Plastics Swap Fog Lights???

does anybody know whats required to swap the fog lights when you do a plastic bumper swap? Just splice the connectors, or do the relays need to be changed, etc.???

they're just lights... + and -... Splice and solder the different connector on and you're set.

Don't even really need to solder, you could use wire connectors (not wire nuts) and be just fine, that's how we did my turn signals, and then just covered them in heat shrink tubing.

Out of curiosity, why can't you use small wire nuts and electrical tape it all around.

Water will enter and short it or it will corode. The front of the car gets the most wet when its raining or if you hit a puddle. Be safe and soder or use wire butt ends and shrink wrap.

Wier nuts are not designed to be used in situations where there is vibration. Just get some Perma-seal style connectors that have heat shrink on them already. Crimp them, heat them up and the shrink wrap will seal down and make a water tight seal. No tape needed.

Most also have a heat activated glue that seals the heat shrink to the wire, so there is NO WAY for moisture to get in.

Napa sells them along with most other automotive stores.
