    Any ideas...

I'm trying to replace my O2 sensor which should be an easy task. However, the old one will not budge. I've soaked it in liquid wrench but it still will not move.

I was thinking of trying a pipe wrench with a long snipe attached but I don't want to shear off the threads.

    Any ideas?

Try brake fluid, it always works for me.

A little diesel fuel might do it.

Also try it with the engine hot, that might loosen it up (or tighten it, but it's worth a try also).

Spray it with PB Blaster, run the motor, let it cool, repeat. Do this a few times. Next try to TIGHTEN the sensor just a hair before you crank it loose. Mine was dead so I cut the wire and put a box wrench on it.

Do you know how to put box wrenches end to end and double them up? You hook the open end into the looped end of another wrench. You'll get more leverage this way. Try it. Cut the wire, put the circle end of the wrench on the sensor, then on the open end put the looped end of another wrench (you have to rotate the second wrench 90 degrees). that'll get you the leverage you need... if not you're screwed

I've had to use a 8' section of square tubing and a torch to break mine loose. Next time I'm just cutting out that section of pipe and replacing it :(
