Its not the gears.
I did a cluster swap on my car a couple of months ago. All of the gauges work including the econometer but the odometer. The cluster has 129,999 miles on it and 0000 on the trip the speedo has a sticker on the inside saying that it was rebuilt @ 123,999. All of the gears appear to be new, and syncing okay. I cant find a thing in any wiring diagram for the odometer. I looked a lot of speedometer wiring diagrams but none of them specify the odo. I just replaced the diff speed sensor, that did nothing except burn 30 bones out of my pocket. I've tried forcefully tapping on it and pressing the reset button but it still doesnt work.
