    Frame Strengthening

What is the best way to really beef up the frame and subframe of a two door IS? So the doors still fit and the body dosen't flex and pop windows out. I am talking around 500 hp worth of body torque (Chevy LS1).

Butt strut? I've got one, it stiffens up the rear end quite a bit.

Seam weld the car, it was assembled via spot welds and add an intergral cage.

integral cage is the best. Have them cut through your firewalls and run the tubing to the struts nascar style. Its a bitch to get in/out but there will be no flex. Be careful when driving for the first time. A chassis with NO flex drives completely different than a stock E30 chassis (which is pretty forgiving).

If you want I can try and track down pics of some of the cages dave builds for the Alfas they race.
        Im now E30less.

I have helped with putting and preping Datsun Z cars with small blocks so I know about seam welding. And the full nascar style cage seems a bit much for the scale of this project but if thats what it takes.
