    electrical nightmare

    long story.

my front low beam and my right rear liciense plate light went out...i changed the low beam no problem. i thought the licience plate light burnt ot..so i unscrewed it pullled it out and saw that the negitive terminal had broken off thus permited no current flow..

let in mind that the left liciense lighplate light was still working...along with the rest of the lights....

so anyways i go to the junk yard and get the part..put it in..turn the key and turn on the lights...checked the computer saw the damn light for the plates and tail lights were on.

i walk around and see that only the left side parking light works and the right side doesent...damn another burnt bulb...so i replace that...still doesent work but the brake light, turn and reverse light works..

i walk around my car and see that the right front parking light does not light up but the turn signal works.

so i looked around checked the fuses non are blown...

so i go the gas station it was dark and to my amusment my dash lights dont work..

the weird thing is that there is one fuse that takes car of the interior lights and radio so forth...my dome lights work..

i open the trunk check out tail light relay thats next to the power attenna, smelt it doesent smell burnt checked connection,,they are clean..

are the tail lights running in a series or parallel circuit?

    any idea

I would think headlight switch, sounds like the problem i had with mine. Not 100% sure though

I had a problem like that once, turned out the be the license plate lights, a screw went in too far and grounded out the positive lead. There should be a blown fuse, don't know which it is though
