    M20 motor swap Q?

ok, so i want to swap out the current m20 in my new 88 325is, for the motor in my recently totalled 90 325i. my question is, should a novice attempt this kind of job, or should i just forget about it? i have never done a motor swap before, but i have the manual, and hopefully all the neccesary tools.

before you ask, the reason i want to swap the motors out is that the 88 m20 is leakin fluids all over the bottom of the engine, as well as having a shot power steering pump(probably the reason for the fluids), and shot clutch. my 90 m20 is in perfect running condition. now my big problem is that my clutch just fully went out on the 88, and its sittin at a shop that wants $500 to replace the clutch. what should i do?

A: take the car out of the shop and attempt to do the swap
B: just get the new clutch in, and repair my existing 88 m20
    C: ???
    thanks in advance guys.

who knows what kind of condition either car are in and its hard to tell you the best choice. swapping the motors is a piec of cake though between those 2 cars. take it all out in 1 piece--harness ecu, tarnny, motor and slap it in.

i don't even know that i'd bother swapping harness/ecu, at least if your aim is just to get it running happily again.
