Bosch A/C Compressor w/ Single Wire??

After dropping my brother's engine into his car this past weekend we noticed that his new green label Bosch A/C compressor has only a single wire coming from it whereas his old compressor had a 3 prong hookup and so does the connector off the wire harness.

Are we missing something or did we get the wrong compressor?

They came off different years, the 3-prong plug should still just have one wire that runs to the clutch on the compressor, just splice it in.

What do I do with the remaining 2 wires?

It's just a big loop. Older cars have a single hot wire. Later cars have the same single hot wire, but it loops through an over-pressure safety switch on the side of the compressor. Just leave the 2 wires that go to the safety switch out and connect directly to the single hot wire.

Hmmm... wtf happens if the compressor over-pressurizes?
