What are these fittings on the radiator?

I had to remove my radiator today. As I was unplugging everything I noticed 2 steel screw on fittings on the drivers side. There was some oily residue that
came out when I unscrewed them. Is there supposed to be oil(it looked like oil but could have been something else) in there?

Every other bit of my coolant was clean. No oil/coolant mixture. Just these 2 steel fittings had oily mixture.

-Did the two fittings have metal lines running to them? Those are ATF cooler lines. Was the fluid not rosy-red? If not, it's time for a tranny flush!
