general specs for building a heat shield

Can someone please help me in making a heat shield or would it be better to purchase one from lukas?

I need help with material and dimensions? Or does someone know of a link with all of the info needed?

Just buy one from Lukas. His are very nice, and just fit right in.

I built one out of sheet metal. Then I sprayed it with rubberized undercoating spray for insulation. Total cost was about $7. If you have access to a vise, a hammer, and some tin snips then you can definitely build one. But it will most likely never look as good as the Lukas one.
