Clunking in rear over hard bumps

    I don't know, that's almost what it sounds like. But it shouldn't be, there's no reason for it to. The rear of my car is really not that low, especially considering how low some other people's cars are. You heard the sound though, remember when we were on that shitty patchwork section of freeway in Washington?

    It's wierd tho, like I said, it's mostly gone away. I can't figure it out. Making me crazy.

      Did you ever get around to checking the rear sub-frame bushings?

        I think I may have finally tracked down what it is, I think it's my exhaust. Looks like the pipe going back toward the muffler is hitting the underside of the car somewhere around under the rear seat, that region.

          my exhaust used to hit it's tips right at the cutout in the rear valance. that drove me nuts for a while.
