OEM AFM - Voltage vs. Air Flow Data

    Hey Guys,

I know this has been talked about numerous times, lots of promises, hopes, dreams, blah blah blah.....

Like it says, looking for the Voltage vs. Air flow table(s) for the Bosch AFM's. Sent Bosch an email the other day, no word yet, probably never will hear from them. Anyway... armed with this data, we could build a inexpensive MAF conversion for the E30. Was thinking straight swap, no piggy back, external electronics or any of that jazz.

And yes, I have searched for several days now. No consistent data as of yet. Please, don't say hook it up to a flow rig and reverse engineer it.

    Any information would be awesome,

How would use this data if you got it? What is your theory as how the conversion would work with out any added electronics? What do you think the benefits would be?

It seems to me that you don't really need a chart, probably just the flow as you max the AFM out (flap reaches end of travel), and maybe not even that.

              Hey Deagle,

I agree fully, MAF's and AFM's are not exactly the best methods.

The purpose of this, is to build something (rather inexpensively) that others can use. Not everyone wants or has the time to go standalone.
