    odd sound

alright, this weekend i changed my water pump and my tstat, to do this i basically pulled the front of the engine off

now its running well except for a strange sound, to me it sounds like a metal on metal rubbing/squeek sound, i think it may be the rotor on the points in the distributor, does anyone else have any ideas?

also, before this it was making a sound that reminded me of the fan hitting something but it wasnt hitting anything so i took the dist cap off and put it back on and now the noise has either changed or this is a new sound

belt walk, maybe? my t-belt started to come off the pullies, and was grinding against the cover. I could see rubber residue/dusting coming out from under the t-belt cover on the driver side of the engine... you can shine a flash light and be able to see if that's happening to you.
