    removing and caping off ac system...where to get caps?

    I want to cap off my ac system at the firwall and remove everything for a upcomming motor swap.

    Anyone know where I can get a metal threaded cap to plug the lines off? I tried local repair shop - and all I get are blank looks.

    Any ideas?

      Why do you need to cap it off? the only item needing capped would be the compressor once you pull it off. If you ever decide to reuse the ac system a shop will evacuate the system getting rid of anything that may of gotten in the lines.

          You would still want to cap it off somehow. A metal screw on cap is not neccesary, a rubber plug or cap will also do. You want to prevent moisture, dust, animals, corrosion and insects from entering your lines.
