    Is my alternator dead?

So I've been battling an ongoing electrical problem in my car for some time now. My battery has been dying/draining too much. I have been able to deduece that I have a 90mA draw coming from fuse 21, I'm working on fixing that.

Now, 90mA is indeed a drain, but it doesn't seem like a lot. I recently charged my battery to %100 and slowly over time, I noticed it dying (cranking speed became slower, etc). I drive the car almost every day.

When my car is idling, I measured the voltage across the battery to be around 12.4 V. Keep in mind that this is on a dead battery (had to jump start it to start the car). I've heard that 14ish is the ideal voltage to read across a battery while idling, is this true? Is my alternator dead/dying?

COLES NOTES: Is 12.4V too low of a reading to be getting across the battery at idle? (this battery is quite dead though, not sure if that makes a difference)

The battery being dead will confuse the issue, but 12.4v at idle is too low. Check the system voltage at idle when the battery is fully charged. You should see something better than 13v, rising to +14v at 2500rpm.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I'd check that ^^^ before replacing the alternator. But it sounds that it is bad to me.
