power door locks - bad sign?

The power door locks work on my car. However, when I use the key on the driver's door nothing happens. The key will not even operate the lock manually. Both of them will lock/unlock perfectly, including the driver's side, when the key is used on the passenger one or the trunk lock.

    Any ideas?

Yeah, that's coming asap. I've owned the car for two days lol.

But in any case, I'd like to actually be able to use the key if I have to.

          OE key or copies?

my car came with crappy copies, and they wouldnt operate the drivers cylinder at all. got an oe one, and it at least will unlock with the drivers cylinder; lock still doesn't work.

i just used the trunk lock for a long time, then installed that ebay/omega keyless. works great.

Sounds like the lock cylinder is broken.

What have you guys found out about the door lock problem you have ?? I am having same problem that I started looking into this evening......... On mine it looks like the lock cylinder is not activating the metal tab the hits the micro switch to lock or unlock the doors(from the drivers door) but all other access points work perfectly....
