    ac question

why dont my ac compressor clicks on and off? what to check for?

    #2
Could be anything, from a fuse/relay failure, a failed hi/lo pressure switch, broken wire, failed climate control switch, bad compressor or clutch, to over/under charge of refrigerant.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I would take it to a shop to have them diagnose it.

there are a lot of possibilities.

I guess the point of my post was that you should buy one so that you don't have to take Mike's advice and pay someone to figure it out for you!

There are quite a few places to look, so start with the stuff jlevie listed... Unfortunately my only E30 didn't have air conditioning... It had a 3.5 liter engine instead.
