    Mixture Issues: Leaving Me Stranded

Well.. Last night I going down the road at about 25mph in 2nd when my car suddenly looses power and slowly dies (yes there is gas in the car 1/2 tank.) Previous to this about 5 days ago it died a block from my house, wouldn't start, so iI pushed it down the street, and later the next day she worked fine. When she does run she runs rich, and has no torque at all, she sometimes like to die when I am breaking and coming to a stop. I continuously get the 1222 code. In the last week I have replaced the O2 sensor (brand new OE) and replaced the air filter and cleaned the AFM. This morning I went back to the place she was left and still no start. She turns over just fine and whines but there is no explosion so fuel has gone wrong somewhere. Also I have tried resetting the ECU and I checked all plugs and wires. So... any ideas what may be causing me all these problems.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks all.

The first thing to check is to see if there's spark when you crank over the engine. Pull a plug, ground its body, and look for spark while cranking the engine. No spark would imply a problem with the coil, main relay/fuse, timing reference sensor, or DME. If you have spark you need to check to see if the fuel pump runs when the car is cranking. If it isn't there's a problem with the fuel relay/fuse or pump. To eliminate the relay as a cause you can remove the fuel relay and jumper the contact positions in the relay socket.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

check the injector wiring harness. the m20 has a round twist-type connector that will cut out if it's not locked in all the way, yours might be the same

My coil wires vibrated loose the other day and my car died on the freeway.

1222: This code is stored when the DME detects excessive deviations in the air-fuel mixture (too rich or too lean) for longer than 10 seconds. Possible causes: Fuel tank ran empty, Incorrect Fuel Pressure, Injector valve defective or coked, Engine Temperature Sensor defective, Secondary air leak, Fuel evaporation control system defective, Air Flow Meter defective and/or the combustion is being disturbed by mechanical failure (Spark plugs,, compression, intake/exhaust valves, ...etc.)
