    seat bolt pattern?

Hey fellas it's been a while so hope everyone is doing well here at r3v :)

I've been in China starting up a new business that involves building bucket seats. My plan all along was to make the bolt pattern like the E30 so all of us could have a direct fit bucket seat that wouldn't be raised using the typical brackets, etc.

Anyhow, if someone could get me the bolt pattern dimensions I'd appreciate it :)

As for my 3.0L cab it is still in Singapore, collecting dust I'm afraid, but it will soon be shipped off to our home in Lexington, KY. I'm sure it will enjoy the cooler & drier air heheh ;)

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Chris,

I'll try to remember to measure mine this evening when I am working on it.

As far as your cab - if it needs its legs stratched while its stored in Lex, let me know - I'll be glad to help you out with that - I am only about an hour away. :p

While knowing the bolt placement is important, the pattern isn't centered w/respect to the steering wheel. That suggests that you can't design a mount without having the seat and a car in hand.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thanks Dave, and glad to know there will be a fellow E30'er close by when I'm back home. Also, thanks for the offer to run the cab but I'm sure my wife will be getting plenty of seat time.

jlevie.......ya know I had a faint memory that this was the case, but only had my seats out once around 4yrs ago.

I guess then I'd need to know how offcentered the pattern is as well. Should be able to be done w/out a car on hand.

        Thanks!

I'll see what I can do with my car and seats.

If someone else doesn't come up with the information I can get the numbers off my track car when it comes back from the cage installer late this week or early next week.
