    Removing head bolts?

What size torx socket is used to remove the head bolts on a 325i head? The car I have has a '92 head on it, and I don't remember my eta or my last i parts car having torx head bolts.

PS, this i head is for sale. Rebuilt with less than 18k miles, $300.

Are those updated style of head bolts better than the old ones in anyway? Can they be used on an eta head? If anything, I just like the way they look!

Yeah, they're much better. They won't break like the old ones.

It's a T14 sized socket that you'll need and yes, the bolts that the cars came from the factory with are hex-bolts. This is one way of telling if your head has been removed as they replaced the bolts with torx-head.

Make sure you remove them in the correct sequence though so as not to warp the head. Also undo them a bit at a time.

like that ^^^^^^ it probably doesn't matter what side you start on. my head had been off my car before because some of the headbolts were visually older htan the other ones. Ofcourse all the older looking ones are the ones that broke. by the way for those of you who car i was able to get the broken headbolts out without any drilling. It was pretty easy actually.
