so i dont think this is good. some tech advice might help

well whenver i hard turned right i was trailing what seemed to be steering fluid.
this coming after a huge loss of stearing fluid a few weeks back, so i jacked it up and was looking at the underside and couldt see any major leeks.
so my dad gets under and squeezes this boot and we found out where it was coming from, so a is this supposed to be filled with fluid and b wtf man?

A - No, it's not supposed to be filled with fluid.
B - Your steering rack is knackered - Needs replacement or rebuild.

    Sorry.

Seals in your steering rack are very worn, just replace the entire rack with another better condition one.

Dont bother trying to rebuild. Just find a solid one.

my goal is for the eta to survive through college, i will see how much it looks like it will be and if its feasable to do myself.
well with my dad, because legally its still hisworse comes to worse i will have to borrow the money for a new one instead of saving for one.

i will, does the i one fit in fine?

so what everyone thinks and what my dad also said is that the seels on the end of the rack, are done. so i have to follow the directions in my bentley manual and get this done, it seems fairly straight forward

                    yeah i noticed,

i took a good look at my manual and tqalked to my freind and i am going to do it myself.
maybe replace the tie rods as well. seems pretty straight forward as long as i dont f-up the alignment so bad i can't drive it to get an alignment.

oh and my dad wants me to do it. whatever he will pay for parts.
