    Brute force

If you're not honestly worried about destroying your trunk lock (which sounds pretty much shot anyways) What you need is a powerdrill, a decent sized self tapping screw, and a crowbar. Drill the screw into the key slot but leave a bit sticking out for the crowbar. Put a block of wood down to pry against and pry that bitch out. It worked on my roommates motorcycle and I'm will to bet it'll work on your trunk.

THats why i cant us my key. Could i jam a screw driver in there and bust it?? would i beable to turn it open with teh driver??
Have you tried what was said? Seems like you are still pushing then turning. STOP! Turn then push. I could see it having a big load of stress if you are putting all the load on the key.

My guess is that the trunk is already unlocked. Bring a hammer to the yard. If the car has suffered a rear end collision, just hit the lock with the hammer to pop it open. I had to do that with my parts car because the back part of the trunk was bent so badly that the latch was bent out of position.

          talk to it

talk to it, I always talk to my car when it's trying to be a bitch. Alot of times she hears me and helps me out. Maybe it will help you too :).

but yeah, do what matt's saying push and turn and try to wiggle it. I had trouble with my trunk too. Sometimes pull the hell out of it, while you turn the key it might help it up.

get a friend with an identical car, and line it up next to yours... pop his trunk, remove the lining from behind the lock.

take the license plates off both cars, and remove the plastic thinga-ma-call-ems, such that you uncover the wholes leading into the trunk

using the friend's car as a guide, bent a wire hanger such that it reaches the lock actuator. you should be able to slide down the actuator arm if you have enough patience.

My trunk lock was broken similarly; in an act of infinite wisdom, I disconnected the lock actuator and shut the trunk lid... long story short, the trunk was locked and I had no way to get in.. Then I realized that my eastern European heritage has given me all the tools I need to get back in... So, before you use a hammer, crow bar or violence, try the wire hanger

find one of those neighborhood rats that steals cars all the time and get him to get you in it

My trunk lock got jammed one time. You can drill the lock (find something that's the diamater of the inner part, not the full part) and simply push the release on it. Or you can try the wire trick like the others suggest.

Or you can take your back seat out and push out the ski hole. Pull up on the seat bottom to remove it and the back seat has two bolts on the bottom on each side. Once you get it out, remove the cloth so you can see the sheet metal. Push out in the center where you see a perforated spot. The backing on the rear wall (in the trunk) is only held on with plastic rivits, so you can just push through those. Then you have a tiny spot to climb into the trunk.

Help - My only trunk key snapped in half

My E30 (1987 325e) trunk key snapped in half this week, and now my trunk is locked without a key that can open it. There are things in there that I REALLY need to get out. I have the spare key that works the ignition and front door locks, but it won't open the trunk...suggestions? I would love to do it without spending much money, and would like to replace the lock with a different one that has a matching key..

use some rust penetrant or anti sieze you should be able to free up the stubborn lock. i did this with my e28 and it worked. (pb blaster is a good one)
