I have an m20 flywheel now on my 318is and I need to hook up the m20 starter. It looks like the wiring is completely different. Any ideas on how this is done?

alright, where the big wire goes should be pretty obvious, of the 2 smaller wires one is to start the car and one is for the jumper relay. one wire is just a wire with its own tight insulation on it. the other wire is smaller but has loose insulation around it. you should be able to tell by looking/feeling. The the plain wire goes to the other post of the starter. the wire with the extra insulation needs to be grounded. I used the post the engine wiring harness mounts on, its right there. i think i had to drill out the wires connector slightly.Comment
