    glass sunroof. where to buy?

so i was all set a few weeks ago. i had put in an order for a new, glass sunroof from JC Whitney for $160. i just got a message saying that they can't fill my order because they don't have anymore.

does anyone know where i can buy a glass sunroof for my 88 325ix 2dr? i dont care if it acts like the factory sunroof or not.

Go to Turner's classifieds. There is a guy parting an e30 and he has a glass sunroof. Look to pay up to a grand for one.

Yeah, I've seen them go for under $500.

There was a guy on unofficialbmw.com that had a parts car with an aftermarket glass roof. I was interested in it, but he never emailed me back... perhaps you could contact him.

Not worth the money or the hassle at all IMO.

Not worth the money for all the weight that high up on the car.

My friend has a glass sunroof with everything included out of his 318is. This is not an OEM sunroof.

If you interested, contact me and I will let you know how to contact him

I think I might be getting an aftermarket one from a guy on unofficialbmw.com - he just emailed me back with pictures. I think he wants to get rid of it cheap because it isn't genuine bmw.

It's a done deal. $40 + shipping for the glass roof. The best part is that he's not making me pay for it now; he's going to ship it over and then he wants me to pay for it only if I'm satisfied. And the glass is heavily tinted so I think it'll be nice to keep the blazing hot Oregon sun out lol.

Let us know how heavy it ends up bein too - and, since it's aftermarket, how it fits. I bet you're hopin you are satisified with it? ;)

He sent me some crappy pictures of it, but it looked decent in them. I'll most likely end up replacing the seal around it just to make sure that it's water tight (I live in Oregon). For $40+shipping I figure I can't go wrong.
