Will any random junkyard 325 diff bolt right up to replace my stock 87' 325(eta motor) diff? cause id like to buy one and have it welded and keep my stock one as backup.

the donor car i have in mind is a plastic bumper 325i.

Yes, and you can also find them on e28 and e24 models - same diff.

The is a metal tag on the diff that tells you it's ratio, and if there is a letter "s" before the number it means it's a limited slip.

Just don't get one from a 318 - they are called small case diff's.

Your Eta will push/understeer like a snowplow with welded spider gears .
And the 3.73 (or 4.10 if auto) found in the "i" cars is just asking to blow your Eta up .

You might want to rethink your plans .
