    225/40/17 ?

No one makes a tire in this size? I tried searching tire rack a little bit and I came up with all 225/45/17 tires. Anyone know someone that makes a 225/40/17 tire?

    Thanks, George

                it's a shame you can't fit 45 series in there. there's a shizload of 225/45-17's available.

There are always tires that aren't listed for sale in the US that are fs in places like UK or Germany, Problem cost mo money.

But if these are for competition the put you in R compound range due to lack of DOT symbol.

yeah tell me about it....I guess the 225/40 is just an odd size for some reason :?

Greg, these tires will never ever see the track or any competitive event. They will be used for daily driving...

Not worth losing money due to poor dollar value then. But some of the UK mags list tires in ads.

George, buy 215/40s then, on your wheels wide tire will have more chance to rub unless you modifiy your fenders, pull them or roll them!

                          :)

Amirani, I'm definitely thinking about that. I'm just worried about not having enough sidewall for protection on the wheel. The last thing I want to do is get the wheels mounted and hit a pothole, and get a damaged wheel because there's lack of sidewall.
