Clip Removal Tool

I have been wondering if there is a specialized tool that will remove the metal clips that are used to retain the electrical connections on our E30's. I usually use two screwdrivers to spread the clips, and then try to pull them loose. This works OK part of the time, but every now and again one will go flying. Any suggestions?

most of the metal clips can be pushed down towards the connector while you pull it from the plug. removal is not always necessary. (for instance, the AFM, IAC, and coolant temp switch connectors).

If I have to remove the clip I just use one screwdriver and pull one end over the top with my fingers, so it doesn't fly off.

Ill sell you my fingers for 10 bucks a piece.. Used, good condition though.










Try some lubricant and a little persuation.
