    search...

just go on good and search
    "e30 dash swap"
its the first one that comes up... READ THE DIRECTION, esp on fitting it back in. Its golden. I struggle for ever trying to fit it in and then I read how to technique and I snap it in, in less than 1 min.

here I did it for you

Thanks, I was so busy performing searches at individual sites that I never just googled it.

Anybody got a virginal dashboard for sale?

Its not bad but you really don't have to remove all of the HVAC controls and the computer from the trip piece in the middle. Just loosen the 4 phillips screws that hold it in and tilt the thing at an angle to take it out. Looks like that should save at least 20 min with R&R. Just did mine last week...

That thread is general and does not apply to a air bag car as well. There is more that has to be done in order to get the dash out and back in a air bag car. Altough there is more to do it still not bad and that thread can be used for general reference. The biggest thing to remember on a air bag car is the battery has to be disconnected (which should be done on both swaps) so that the you can get the air bag out of the steering wheel so it doesn't blow up in your face. Other than that and the knee bolster area and the ecu area it's all the same. And those different areas are easy enough to get through without any problem with reference to that thread..... I had never done one before and it took me about 2 hours to get it out and new one back in and back together....
