    Time for new tires

    Ok I finally will have enough for new tires my budget is anywhere below $90 per tire
    I was thinking of buying the following
    205/45/r16 Yoko Parada specs(300 tread rare) all the way around there $80 a pop at tire rack.
    What I want is a Performance tire with above a 200 tread wear rating. I looked at Avs's but have heard from most they wear out quick. So just wondering if the Parada's sound like a good tire. I'm not planning on autocrossing the car any time soon but want a tire that will stick on some nice high speed mountaing turns :twisted:

    Just buy some man, or stop driving on threads. We don't want to see another dead E30 or for that matter a fellow board member DEAD. If needed gather up your spares and have mismatches but no threads showing Please.

      Yes Dad Hi I drove a windy road to day and took it easy(a change for me).
      Brad C. (Shity Brad)The guy with the E28 who documented his auto to Manual swap was in Chattanooga So I drove over to his grandparents house to meet him in person and check out his E28(his second E28 since the one that got the swap)
      Don't worry this next weekend I have to drive the car some distance so the bottle caps in the garage will be going on. I've got the money now so I want to buy tires I want and not just go to sears and buy some all season tires that will squell like crazy in a corner.

        Hi Greg Brad is heading into the Airforce, he is off to training monday. He said he is going into the Aircraft metal research area or something like that. Except for he'll be in La. Some where he told me the Fort but I forgot it's name.

            Shees and they wern't even that bad when I saw them a month ago or so. That's why I'm not getting the Avs's The Parada's have a better tread wear rating so they should last longer. I won't be getting the Ass end out though as much as you do

              Yeah, these are GREAT PERFORMING tires in the dry and wet but need more discipline with regards to driving habits. When they start to wear, they go REAL FAST :shock:

                You still going to make the 30th meet up here, I should have the tires on by then As I'll order them tommorow or friday(depending on how the high bidder on my current auction pays) So they should be on by the end of next week, which will give me a week to get used to them.

                    Eli, sound like you mean Fort Walton beach aka Hurburt field. That's where my civilan job is based.

                    Eric what is the tread wear of the ES100's I have Michelin Pilot sport Sx's and they are 150 and not worn out that bad been using them hard for about 2 months.

                      Walton sounds like it You'll have to give him a hard time if you ever see him. He's got a Crurly Fro and a Goatee but that will change soon
                      The avs's are a 280 tread wear rating. Of Course Erik drives the car hard when I went down to Atlanta to get the Bilsteins I purchased from him, we met at a gas stationg and we drove down the road a little further to find somewhere not so load to chat. We we pulled out I looked in my rear view mirror and there was a white M42 sliding across 3 lanes, so he was by no means nice to them at all.
                      I was thinking about 950's for the rear but think I'm going to go with the Parada's all the way around.
                      Edit it looks like I'll be ordering tires tonight(just got money from my latest ebay auction) Well here goes $375.58 down the drain in a couple minutes.
                      I hate it that I purchased this car for $500 as I hate paying the price of the car for new items

                        Ok tires ordered.
                        4 new Yoko Parada spec II's in 205/45/R16 Should be here Tuesday or late Monday and I'll get them installed that day or the next. I can't wait to be able to realy test out my new suspension.
