    Driver door locks.

    Ok heres the deal:

Tonight I locked my door, than I walked away for awhile talk to a few friends than before I went inside I had that "did I lock my door or not?" so I went back to my car and put my key in and turned it over to the right and than the look faces horizontaly, than after doing that I was like shit I already locked my door. After that I tried unlocking my door and my key wouldn't turn my lock.

I read in my owners manual, and it said something about if you turn it another 45degrees it does a elcetomechinal switch with locks all doors even from the inside for deter thef, and it also said this can only be done with a master key.

I have no idea how to unlock my door, and make the central locking work again

    my car is a 89 325is.

Remember that my key will not turn the lock back to its normal position.
Is the lock broke or is there a special trick your supposed to do?

I wonder if that's why my key snapped off inside the lock that one day...

....it's still in there too. Damn it.

Yeah, you have to have the master key.

ok so let me try to re write this some, what you did was:
lock your door, return to lock it forgetting you locked already turned the key 90deg to the right and it is stuck in this position, isnt that just double locking it?

i have no idea, the central locking system has always kinda baffled me, whenever i lock my car i just turn the key once and everything locks, all the door the trunk the fuel door, i thought you had to double lock it for everything to lock... sorry i wasnt any help

No, what I did was I went pass the lock. There is one 90 turn to lock and from that point you can go further when you go further it turns off the central lock and keeps the in door looks locked also and cuts the power off all the locks untill the driver side door lock is returned to its normal posistion.
