I failed smog about 2 weeks ago, HC and CO were too high. So I replaced a bunch of parts including the full exhaust system, 19# injectors, afm, cps, o2 sensor and relay, spark wires, coil, coolant temp sensor, newer egr valve, charcoal canister, air filter, oil change... spark plugs(bosch supers), cap, rotor, and fpr have less than 1k on them.
The car feels a lot better, afterall it is a 200k+ but I still don't know why it's running rich. The only thing left I can think of is that when I got the new o2 sensor there was a little bit of anti-seize on the head(i heard it will mess up the sensor), but I wiped most of it off before installing it. Also when I installed the new exhaust, I used the old gaskets with gasket sealer on the downpipe seal. Maybe a valve adjustment is needed as well..
I hear a gushing sound coming from the engine bay when the car warms up. Is that normal? I run 93 octane btw
