My car has always done this, but its becoming annoying. When I turn the key to "start" the engine usually turns over about 3 or 4 times before it starts. The car has never not started, but it almost always turns over a few times. The only time when it starts right up is when it has been driven within the past hour. What's wrong?

Same thing has been happening to me. Today, I actually wiggled around my idle controller , and some of the tubing that has to do with the intake and made sure everything had a good vacum seal. It started up instantly. I then took it for a drive and noticed a hell of a lot smoother and better sounding acceleration. Ive started the car up instantly about 6 times in a row since then.
I guess I wiggled a leaking tube back into place.
Also check out your cold start vavle. Thats another common problem for difficult cold starts.
